Top Chef is definitely growing sumptuous, with every passing day.
If the culinary prowess of the cheftestants is being put to test, it surely is enhancing the skills of the viewers too.
Titled, ‘Higher Steaks’, the show’s latest installment made an appearance on the small screen, on December 7th, 2011.
Man, it did make for an interesting watch, for the chain of events hooked you from the beginning till the end.
All those who want to rule the roost at Top Chef, were entrusted with the typical task of preparing a platter that comprised their version of Auguste Escoffier’s five ‘mother’ sauces.
Do you know what they are called?
Well, the names go something like this – bechamel, espagnole, hollandaise, tomate or veloute.
You can swarm around all those rumblings by hitting off the online bay and give a rapturous view to this amazing reality show.
While Bev was struck with the idea of trying his hands on an Asian dish, Heather was not at all impressed by the whole notion of it.
It was Grayson’s hollandaise ravioli and Paul’s quail with espagnole, that received adulation from all quarters.
Who won the round?
It had to be Grayson, who bagged the immunity from elimination as well.
And I bet the elimination challenge was interesting too!
Serving a four course meal was coupled with two steak components and the treat had to be served to 200 members, belonging to the Cattle Baron Club.
Heather stole the show and Whitney was shown the door.
Well, that’s a part of the game, you see!
With that, another batch came to its culmination and the viewers couldn’t ask for anything more!
Guest judges Hugh Acheson and Dean Fearing also stole the show. Quite endearing people, one must admit!
Hope this season also comes out with flying colors and attains even higher milestones than its precedents!
