Top Chef is definitely growing sumptuous, with every passing day.

If the culinary prowess of the cheftestants is being put to test, it surely is enhancing the skills of the viewers too.

Titled, ‘Higher Steaks’, the show’s latest installment made an appearance on the small screen, on December 7th, 2011.

Man, it did make for an interesting watch, for the chain of events hooked you from the beginning till the end.

All those who want to rule the roost at Top Chef, were entrusted with the typical task of preparing a platter that comprised their version of Auguste Escoffier’s five ‘mother’ sauces.

Do you know what they are called?

Well, the names go something like this – bechamel, espagnole, hollandaise, tomate or veloute.

You can swarm around all those rumblings by hitting off the online bay and give a rapturous view to this amazing reality show.

While Bev was struck with the idea of trying his hands on an Asian dish, Heather was not at all impressed by the whole notion of it.

It was Grayson’s hollandaise ravioli and Paul’s quail with espagnole, that received adulation from all quarters.

Who won the round?

It had to be Grayson, who bagged the immunity from elimination as well.

And I bet the elimination challenge was interesting too!

Serving a four course meal was coupled with two steak components and the treat had to be served to 200 members, belonging to the Cattle Baron Club.

Heather stole the show and Whitney was shown the door.

Well, that’s a part of the game, you see!

With that, another batch came to its culmination and the viewers couldn’t ask for anything more!

Guest judges Hugh Acheson and Dean Fearing also stole the show. Quite endearing people, one must admit!

Hope this season also comes out with flying colors and attains even higher milestones than its precedents!

Yeah, that’s so true! The Manhattan audience is exercising their will to get performers off the stage.

It was the Moth’s Storytelling event organized at the Cooper Union in Manhattan, New York that had sex symbol Padma Lakshmi as one of its hosts.

Whatever followed was though quickly forgotten, but it remained absolutely unimaginable and tough to digest.

A download of the famous cook show Top Chef would reveal the amount of elegance, style, oomph and sophistication that the former top model had been able to inject into the show.

Her presence has been one of the prominent factors behind the success of the show and in contrast to all this, whatever happened at the Moth’s event could leave us to just one conclusion that maybe ex-Mrs. Rushdie was not in the best of her senses.

But that’s not at all true…

Witnesses to the event had explained that Padma Lakshmi was harsh and unpleasant to the ears and most important of all, she had nothing to talk about.

She reached the stage and embarked on an illogical long story that ended with her desire to gorge on a hot dog. And in order to fulfill her desire, she asked the audience to shell out $20 dollars each.

This is when the audience ran out of patience; members from the front row stood up to announce that they would donate $1000 dollars to Moth only if they pulled Padma Lakshmi off the stage immediately.

And, Padma reportedly had accepted the offer, which ensured she was offstage instantly.

Padma Lakshmi’s representative had confirmed that there was no intoxication involved anywhere and that Padma was just enjoying the show without any pre-written scripts or any format. She was just having fun with the audience.

Well, Moth can manage a couple of some more fools like Padma; it isn’t a bad start!

Emeril Lagasse, the famous celebrity chef, isn’t done with cooking as yet. Lagasse is still hungry for more cooking shows, even after having hosted over 2000 similar shows!

The Creole cooking wizard is all excited to launch his eighth television series with 52nd episode.

The show, Emeril’s Table, will have a lot of attractions to watch out for. It will feature five guests from all sections of our lives. From seasoned to newly-married housewives to fighters and vegetarians, the guest list would comprise all. The Top Chef judge states that the entire concept of the show is new, at least, when looked other shows on television. Well, as for his shows, I cannot deny that I often go online to download its segments.

Emeril’s Table will attempt to bring foodies closer, as the contestants would be inviting him over to their kitchens to reveal recipes of their choice.

Emeril expects to join hands in their kitchen, which would be the main attraction of the show.

Imagine contestants and the audience gaining valuable tips from a chef as celebrated as him! I don’t think an aspiring chef or anyone, who loves to cook would ever want to miss that opportunity.

Lagasse already has 12 restaurants to his name, where more than 2 million meals are served over the year; Lagasse visits and oversees the functioning of each and every one of them, once in a while.

Well, we can guess how busy Lagasse must be, and now with one more show on his list, we would have to just pray0. that he finds enough time to breathe!

I guess if he stops coking for a while, even we can stop eating for a change and enjoy a deep, relaxing breath!

After years of letting your skin boil inside the kitchen and enduring all the torture to make it through the cutthroat competition in the Top Chef contest, why do you expect someone would be sitting idle?

Even to try expecting something like that could mean that one is unaware of the new dimension a win in this show opens up for a contestant.

Most of the participants in a show like Top Chef have already devoted their lives to the kitchen and are amongst the finest chefs across the continent, just waiting to be celebrated.

When you watch the show, you can comprehend the reality that the best of chefs are not necessarily the best of contestants at the competition.

Cooking and competing are entirely different qualities and as Johnny Luzzini says, the two should never be confused with each another.

New York City is getting lucky with the 2007 Top Chef winner Chef Hung Hyunh opening up a sea food joint in the districts famous for meat packing services in the state.

The new restaurant would be serving dishes like seared scallops with tamarind brown butter and the white chocolate cauliflower purée that brought him a lot of recognition and admiration at the Top Chef contest. New Yorkers, it seems, are unable to wait until September 19, the restaurant’s inauguration day.

This Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza chef knows her desserts pretty well, and that was the only reason that had allowed her to live her life as a chef, specializing in pastries.

Megan Ketover is a pastry chef at West Chester’s Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, and her absence this summer had left her family guessing about her whereabouts, demanding explanations.

What she couldn’t reveal as deliberately as she wanted to was, that in contradiction to all her alibis of flying down to London, she was spending her days at Los Angeles, as one of the first fourteen contestants in Top Chef’s kitchen!

As she says, it was difficult for her to create lies in order to keep her secret well-guarded, and here we have her spilling quite a lot of beans.

Megan had been supervising four pastry employees at the Netherlands Pastry Plaza, till she caught the first season of the show on television. She decided that her culinary skills that had been polished from a tender age of fifteen, could well be put to test and evaluated for a change.

Apart from the prize money of $100,000, a ‘Food & Wine’ magazine feature, and a showcase at the Food & Wine Cayman Cookout, the contestants were eager to experience cooking under the strictest of rules and regulations, with the contestants on the Santa Monica pier.

Megan also revealed that the game was tougher than what a download of Top Chef suggests, and that though she couldn’t say how she had fared on this spinoff, judge Johnny Luzzini was surely not very impressed with a banana split made by her, along with Orlando Santos, a contesting chef from Pittsburgh.

All that she can now do is wait and watch; fingers crossed.

Maybe, the pain has been intense enough for years before and after the unfortunate divorce of our 2006 Top Chef host, Katie Lee, and the boiling lava has somehow found a vent through her words.

A woman tries her best to save her relationship, and surrenders only when she sees it as the next best option to get on with the tits and bits left in her life. The pain that she goes through is unbearable, and it slowly gets transformed into hatred that would help her to start afresh all over again.

The book gives a clear insight into the kind of support and motivation that a sport like surfing can provide to a broken heart. The protagonist in the book takes a break from her celebrity life, to try herself out on the sea with the surfboard.

The sport actually helped her battle the fears inside her head. The fear of the seas waiting to engulf her, the fear of the small surfboard that could slip away anytime, the fear of the overriding waves, and most importantly, the fear to be all by herself on the seas, and in her post-divorce life as well.

Well Katie, you are a true fighter. Hope to see you in the next season of Top Chef!

Where would you look to find one such soul who wants to see the Top Chef being axed? In fact, look anywhere and you won’t come across any such soul! It’s my habit to ask impossible-questions, so don’t fume with anger! Lolzzz!

Anyway, the reason why I am here is to announce clearly and loudly that the new season of Top Chef will soon arrive to entice our taste buds by showcasing foods with inviting aromas, nectar like taste, and decorative presentation.

And yes, the Indian beauty with the looks that get the oohs and aahs oozing out from our mouths will also be back. She’s none other than Padmalakshmi Pandit, and pronouncing her name is an honor for me.

This time the competition will go international! Mouth-watering times will kick off in Washington DC, and then will move on to the nation that rests on Asia like a glittering gem- Singapore.

As per vibes coming from various quarters, the finale will be filmed at Singapore. Expect more inventiveness in tasks as the level of competition is about to touch an all time high.

Well, as a part of competition, the budding chefs will have to sweat it out to secure the approval of children. We know that how arduous it is to satiate the eccentric taste-preferences of the children, don’t we?

While the essence of the reality series will be sustained, a slight change has been made in the judges’ panel. Reportedly, Eric Riepert, the Frenchman known for his amazing-tastes-churning mind will come as a replacement of Toby Young.

Did they forget that Houston too was a part of Texas?

I think, the town has every right to demand its selection as one of the venues for the shooting of season nine of Top Chef.

Get yourself a download of this show that we all know and love as Top Chef and catch the show being shot in the beautiful locales of the Lone Star State, Texas.

The Top Chef team would also be visiting the towns of San Antonio, Dallas and Austin.

And, now Houston gets added to the list. A simple method would enable you to catch the mouth-watering episodes of the show, which is now operating on a ‘pay-play’ basis in the USA.

The show, popular all over the US, has now decided to open up an investment policy for airing the nine-episode season in Texas. Towns that pay up for the show will have the Top Chef, taking its residents on a trip to the world of delicacies.

So, we assume that Houston has recently paid the show and is now on the list of the Texan towns on the shows’ latest shooting schedule.

But, things just did not happen that simply!

The Houston CVB had previously declined the offer, which was probably a bit too high, resulting in Houston’s disappearance from the list of the show’s shooting locales in Texas.

But, Top Chef’s popularity probably brought the Houston Convention and Visitor’s Bureau to fix the deal before the people of Houston turned crazy!

Good for them!

It’s not without a reason that Padma Lakshmi won an Emmy Award for her outstanding reality show, ‘Top Chef’. The stunning beauty of this woman, combined with her wit and humor made her one of the most influential women to be seen on the small screen.

If you’ve been missing her languid accent and alluring screen presence, you can watch her by tuning in to Top Chef online. But before you do that, read on to savor the lady’s wit.

In a recent interview, the lady said that the best thing that you can do for someone is to prepare for them a mouthwatering meal. This is followed by a rather naughty remark, as she asks how else you can get into someone’s body without even touching them. Answers like that make this woman oh so seductive!

It’s evident that she’s mastered the rule, which says that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. She goes on to say that her greatest pleasure is to set before someone a plate full of the most delicious food prepared by her, and watch the person go “Mmmm…”

Sadly, her little baby girl, Krishna doesn’t get to enjoy these yummy delicacies as according to Padma, her favorite foods are black-eyed peas and kale. Yuck!

The gorgeous host signs off with a rather interesting piece of advice for anyone who wishes to be a Top Chef judge. She says that you must judge the food as a customer, and not like a chef. She says that one must never comment about what he would have done if he was the cook, since whatever had to be done is already done!

The Top Chef host, Padma, who is also a single mother, is living an ecstatic life these days.

Well, we can imagine that ‘these days’ would have started transpiring from February 2010.

Why?

Well, that’s because that’s the time her daughter Krishna was born!

During a recent interview with OK! magazine, Padma said that her daughter is very talkative.

Apparently, she talks in a very interesting way, which also comes out quite strongly for a 15-month-old child. Krishna seems a bright child, and apart from the usual difficulties in raising a child, Krishna will definitely be making her mother’s life charming, and a lot easier.

The beautiful chef has been with Top Chef since season 2, and a download of the same will enable every viewer to know her better. Plus, the show would help a person generate such influential tastes, that it would be hard to miss episodes of the show in future.

Another thing that Padma told about her daughter is that she is a really good eater.

Well, one can hardly wonder about that!

If someone’s mother is the host of an international, reputed, long-running food show, and also writes books on food, it’s impossible for the child not to develop a taste for food.

Are we seeing a future Padma Lakshmi in Krishna?

Well, that certainly wouldn’t be a surprise, if it happens in the future.
